Nonna Nonna pictures -Foto della bisnonna

In a forgotten place in grand pa’s home we  found some old, old pictures. They are not coloured, not even black and white and the people were so differently dressed.  Who were those people ?  It  took  a while and then aunty remembered explanation given  by her mother and….
In un posticino dimenticato  a casa del nonno abbiamo trovato delle vecchissime foto. Non a colori, ma nemmeno in bianco e nero e le persone  vestite così diversamente .Chi sono ?La zia ci ha messo un po’  e poi si è ricordata delle spiegazioni di sua madre e .....

CINGHIALE WILD BOAR


Talking about animals in Chianti , we start with the very special:cinghiale, wildboar.



Driving along Chianti roads at night it’s possible to see an entire family crossing the road. They are shy and never attack people ,so they would never appear during our walking in the woods., but it may happen that they come in the vineyards near us looking for some food or something fresher during summer time


If you want to see a cinghiale there is a small stuffed one in front of a butcher shop in Greve in Chianti.It is not alive ,it is relatively small, but it gives you an idea how they look like…much better to eat than to meet’em !!!!

COOKING IN 2010

CUCINARE NEL 2010
Che miglior modo di iniziare l’anno :  biscottini con la cannella.
Durante le vacanze invernali ci deve sempre essere un giorno per cucinare qualcosa di dolce ed allora …eccoci qua.
La ricetta per i biscotti  è qui. Buon appetito per tutto il 2010!!!!

300 gr di farina
150 gr di burro
2 tuorli
150 gr di zucchero
cannella
Preparate la pasta frolla: impastate il burro con lo zucchero. Aggiungete la farina, i tuorli e la cannella. Impastate velocemente. Formate una palla e fatela riposare per 1 ora. Stendete la pasta frolla e date la forma ai biscotti ,cuocete in forno preriscaldato a 180-200C  per 15 minuti circa, finchè avranno assunto un bel colore dorato. Servite con zucchero a velo o cannella !

What a better way to start the new year:  cinnamon biscuits/cookies.
During winter holidays we have always a day available to prepare something sweet and so…here we are.

 For the shortcrust pastry:                                                      
300g flour                                                                              
150 gr butter                                                                            
2 egg yolks                                                                   
150g sugar                                                                    
Cinnamon                                                                     
                                                                              



Prepare the shortcrust pastry: mix the butter and the sugar then fold in the flour. Add the egg yolks and the cinnamon. Knead quickly. Form the dough into a ball and leave aside for one hour. Then,roll out the pastry and shape the biscuits/cookies. Place in a preheated oven at 180 - 200 °C and bake for approximately 15 minutes .Serve  with custard/icing sugar or cinnamon.
